WAYTOUS launches YUKON smart mining large model

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Automation, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), and smart mining solution developer WAYTOUS on June 2 jointly launched the YUKON mining large model and its intelligent infrastructure system.

The YUKON large model will become an essential component of the smart mining industry’s transition into the AI era, marking a new milestone in the intelligence level of China’s mining sector.

The current goal of smart mining development is to reduce manpower, enhance safety, improve efficiency, and achieve lower carbon emissions. The integration of artificial intelligence and mining requires deep innovation, including researching intelligent simulation and extension theory and methods to empower mining robots with the capability to operate in complex environments.

Since its inception, WAYTOUS has been focusing on developing three core technologies, including an operating system, scenario engineering, and the mining large model, which have now become the development direction for intelligent industries worldwide.

WAYTOUS also launched the first batch of products based on the YUKON mining large model, which included the MineCopilot mining AI assistant, the GenDS generative parallel intelligent data system, the GenAD end-to-end autonomous driving model for mines, and the MineGPT mining knowledge model. These four pioneering products will become the indispensable partners of mining industry workers, helping energy and mining companies achieve scalable replication of smart mining factories.
