Union Square Night Market: Urbanspace’s new summer event
UNION SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) — The organization responsible for the Union Square Holiday Market, Urbanspace, is making a splash this summer, with the first-ever Union Square Night Market starting on Thursday.
Starting at 12 p.m. and running until 9 p.m. in Union Square’s South Plaza on select days, over 20 food vendors from all over New York City will be serving up delicious treats, according to the Union Square website.
“We are thrilled to bring a new local food event to one of the best community spaces in New York City,” said Urbanspace President Eldon Scott. “We’re proud to celebrate our roots as a pop up food market maker, spotlight food entrepreneurs, and create a memorable experience for everyone.”
At the North Plaza, those enjoying the market can grab a beverage at Torch & Crown’s outdoor beer garden, all while ice cream will be served on Union Square West. The market will also feature live music and entertainment.
“Union Square Night Market continues the tradition of exceptional culinary experiences that have defined Union Square,” said Julie Stein, executive director of Union Square Partnership. “Locals and visitors can grab a bite from the diverse vendor lineup after their pickleball game or before catching an iconic movie in Union Square Park.”
The market will be open on the following days:
July 11
July 18
July 25
Aug. 1
