Tucson drivers can expect changes to left turn signals | News


TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — The City of Tucson is taking steps to help keep Tucsonans safe on the road.

Left turn operations are being modified within the City of Tucson to only permit left turns on protected green arrows between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., each day. Left turns will still be permitted on green or flashing yellow arrows outside of the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. timeframe.

These changes will take place at the following intersections:

Grant Road and Craycroft RoadHoughton Road and Mary Ann Cleveland WayHoughton Road and Rita RoadRiver Road and 1st Avenue22nd Street and Wilmot RoadRiver Road and Oracle RoadHoughton Road and Valencia Road22nd Street and Craycroft RoadValencia Road and Tucson BoulevardKolb/Grant Road and Tanque Verde Road

According to the Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility, these changes are part of their commitment to continuously evaluate and update safety infrastructure. They ask that drivers please pay extra attention to the signals at these intersections as these changes take place.
