NEW HAMPSHIRE — A New Hampshire housing market sits at the very top of a list of the hottest 150 real estate markets in the nation, according to a new ranking from Realtor.com.

The Manchester-Nashua market took home not only the state’s highest ranking, but the country’s as a whole, with a 100.00 “hotness” score, according to the site.

“The Realtor.com Market Hotness Index exposes how local areas are experiencing fast-moving supply and rising demand,” experts explain. “Using proprietary insights on buyer activity and the most comprehensive data on active inventory, the analysis breaks down demand and supply dynamics to rank metro areas, counties, and zip codes relative to the rest of the country.”

The total amount of views each listing gets online is also used as an indicator of demand. Meanwhile, supply is measured by the median amount of days a home spends on the market in that given city.

Manchester-Nashua’s housing market ranks first of 300 metros in the country, in March, when it was determined to not only be “very hot” but “staying very hot.”

The median number of days on the market in the area is 19, with inventory moving 33 percent faster than last year and 21 days faster than the U.S. overall, according to the ranking. Properties there receive an average number of views 4 times higher than the U.S. average.

Also high on the ranking is Concord, which comes in very hot at number 5.
