New Haven Night Market returns Friday with 100 vendors, sponsors

The market will have 100 artists, entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations offering their products and promoting their causes at Friday’s city-wide event. Partnering businesses in the neighborhood will also have special cocktails, offer discounts or host live bands.

The New Haven Market, which has taken place since 2018, allows for pedestrian-only traffic on Orange Street, from Court and George Streets, and Crown Street, between Church and State Streets. Last fall’s market featured more than 60 vendors and sponsors.

The city-wide event will also have a preview CITA Park, an upcoming beer garden highlighting BIPOC-owned food and drink vendors, and live performances from various music artists: New Haven Jazz Underground, Timmy Maia Band, New Haven Chinese Cultural Cooperative, The New Mosaic and DJ Kasey Cortez.

The New Haven Night Market is free to attend and no tickets are required for entry. The 81 George Street Garage and 360 State Garage will also have $5 parking.

The rain date is Saturday, May 18.
