More produce sold in Northeast Ohio stores recalled over listeria contamination
The FDA said the products were sold at Kroger stores in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.
Yet more produce sold in Ohio grocery stores has been recalled in connection to listeria concerns, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Friday.
JFE Franchising, Inc. of Houston, TX, recalled over a dozen products under the SNOWFRUIT brand because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the FDA said. The agency added there have been no illnesses or consumer complaints reported.
The FDA said the products were sold at Kroger stores in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. There are few Kroger locations in Northeast Ohio, but one of the stores where the SNOWFRUIT products were carried was in Richland County’s Mansfield. The recall is in connection to previous produce recalls by Willard-based Wiers Farm Inc. over the same listeria contamination concerns.
The FDA said the recalled products were packed between July 6-19, 2024. Here’s the full list of products:
