Thanks to an idea of civic-minded resident Melissa Thompson, a farmers market will be held weekly in downtown Salem. The market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays on South Broadway Avenue. Due to this week’s Super Cruise, the market will be held south of the food vendors on South Broadway Avenue.
