Stocks are poised to rise in early trading on Monday, kicking off a week of corporate earnings reports from

Amazon

and other companies, the Federal Reserve’s latest decision on interest rates, and Friday’s jobs report for April.

More than 175 S&P 500 companies are scheduled to release first-quarter earnings results, including Domino’s Pizza, ON Semiconductor, and

Paramount Global

on Monday.

On Tuesday, Amazon reports, as does

,

3M, and other companies.

Wednesday’s reports include Pfizer, Kraft Heinz,

This week’s notable economic events include Tuesday’s report from the Conference Board on its Consumer Confidence Index for April.

On Wednesday, the Federal Open Market Committee will make a monetary-policy decision and Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will deliver remarks after the meeting. Also Wednesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey for March, and ADP will release its National Employment Report for April.

On Friday, the BLS will release the April jobs report, including nonfarm payrolls and the unemployment rate.
