If American capitalism is to survive in any recognisable form, the capitalist and managerial classes sitting astride the great engine that is the American economy must recognise they are the ones for whom the bell tolls.
The capitalists include both the great risk-taking innovators — Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg — and the managerial class: the thousands of bureaucrats who have climbed the greasy poles of our great economic enterprises.
