Average gasoline prices in West Virginia have fallen 5.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.43 per gallon today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,154 stations in West Virginia.

Prices in West Virginia are 9.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 1.5 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 1.8 cents in the last week and stands at $3.82 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in West Virginia was priced at $3.05 per gallon yesterday while the most expensive was $3.69 per gallon, a difference of 64.0 cents per gallon. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $3.05 per gallon while the highest was $3.69 per gallon, a difference of 64.0 cents per gallon.

AAA reported Monday that pump prices in Beckley were $3.552 per gallon. One year ago, prices were averaging $3.448 per gallon in Beckley.

Average gasoline prices for local counties on Monday were:

• Raleigh — $3.572 per gallon

• Mercer — $3.345 per gallon

• McDowell — $3.457 per gallon

• Summers — $3.454 per gallon

• Monroe — $3.429 per gallon

• Greenbrier — $3.228 per gallon

• Nicholas — $3.604 per gallon

• Fayette — $3.529 per gallon

• Wyoming — $3.469 per gallon
